Letter to your network
Dear Colleagues,
Digestive cancers were thought to affect older adults primarily, but recent data reveals a troubling and rapidly increasing incidence of early-onset cases in individuals under 50. These cancers, including colorectal, gastroesophageal, pancreatic and biliary tract, are more aggressive in younger populations and often go undiagnosed due to a lack of awareness and screening. Contributing factors include lifestyle choices, environmental influences, and microbial factors, with many cases occurring spontaneously, and young patients face unique challenges, such as delayed diagnosis, fertility concerns, and significant mental health impacts, requiring specialised care.
How do we increase awareness about early-onset Digestive Cancers?
The ENTERO 2024 Conference on Early-Age Onset Digestive Cancers will explore the latest research, treatment modalities, challenges, and the unique perspectives of patients, survivors, and caregivers.
[YOUR ORGANSIATION] endorses and invites you to register for ENTERO 2024.
Digestive Cancers Europe (DiCE), in collaboration with EuropaColon Portugal, will organise this first-of-its-kind event. It will bring together key stakeholders, including patients, researchers, clinicians, industry partners, and policy leaders, to discuss and strategise improvements in the early-onset digestive cancer patient pathway across the EU and beyond through collaboration and sharing best practices.
This online event takes place on 14-15 November 2024.
You can reserve your spot now by REGISTERING. We also kindly invite you to share this invitation with your network.
Be inspired by patients, survivors, and carers, learn about the landscape and future of research in the field, and participate in the online Q&A sessions to help us identify the ways to increase awareness and improve outcomes for those impacted by early-age onset Digestive Cancers.
Best regards,
[YOUR ORGANSIATION] & ENTERO 2024
